Copenhagen “Wealth Redistribution Plans” in Chaos!

The UN sponsored climate change talks are being interrupted by “developing nations” who want the west and other developed nations to “do more”.  As you might expect the entire situation is a joke. The third world nations want subsidies from the “rich” nations – can you say “redistribution of wealth”?

Don’t be fooled this is just more grand standing to set the stage for UN intervention and “global governance” through treaties.

Please read the story below reprinted from the AP:

Developing countries boycott UN climate talks

By MICHAEL CASEY, AP

COPENHAGEN — China, India and other developing nations boycotted U.N. climate talks on Monday, bringing negotiations to a halt with their demand that rich countries discuss much deeper cuts in their greenhouse gas emissions.

Representatives from developing countries — a bloc of 135 nations — said they refused to participate in any formal working groups at the 192-nation summit until the issue was resolved.

The African-led move was a setback for the Copenhagen talks, which were already faltering over long-running disputes between rich and poor nations over emissions cuts and financing for developing countries to deal with climate change.

However, the move Monday was largely seen as a ploy to shift the agenda to the responsibilities of the industrial countries and make emissions reductions the first item for discussion when world leaders begin arriving Tuesday.

“I don’t think the talks are falling apart, but we’re losing time,” said Kim Carstensen, of the World Wildlife Fund. The developing countries “are making a point.”

The dispute came as the conference entered its second week, and only days before over 100 world leaders including President Barack Obama were scheduled to arrive in Copenhagen.

“Nothing is happening at this moment,” Zia Hoque Mukta, a delegate from Bangladesh, told The Associated Press. He said developing countries have demanded that conference president Connie Hedegaard of Denmark bring the industrial nations’ emissions targets to the top of the agenda before talks can resume.

Poor countries, supported by China, say Hedegaard had raised suspicion that the conference was likely to kill the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, which limited carbon emissions by wealthy countries and imposed penalties for failing to meet those targets.

Poor countries want to extend that treaty because it commits rich nations to emissions cuts and imposes penalties if they fall short. The United States withdrew from Kyoto over concerns that it would harm the U.S. economy and that China, India and other major greenhouse gas emitters were not required to take action.

“We are seeing the death of the Kyoto Protocol,” said Djemouai Kamel of Algeria, the head of the 50-nation Africa group.

It was the second time the Africans have disrupted the climate talks. At the last round of negotiations in November, the African bloc forced a one-day suspension until wealthy countries agreed to spell out what steps they will take to reduce emissions.

An African delegate said developing countries decided to block the negotiations at a meeting hours before the conference was to resume. He was speaking on condition of anonymity because the meeting was held behind closed doors. He said applause broke out every time China, India or another country supported the proposal to stall the talks.

U.N. climate chief Yvo De Boer said Hedegaard was holding informal consultations with delegates “to get things going.”

In Washington, The White House on Monday announced a new program drawing funds from international partners to spend $350 million over five years to give developing nations clean energy technology to curb greenhouse gas emissions and reduce global warming.

The program will distribute solar power alternatives for homes, including sun-powered lanterns, supply cleaner equipment and appliances and work to develop renewable energy systems in the world’s poorer nations.

The funding plan grew out of the Major Economies Forum (MEF) established among the world’s top economies earlier this year.

The U.S. share of the program will amount to $85 million with the remainder coming from Australia, Britain, Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland, the White House said in a statement.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Energy Secretary Steven Chu is to coordinate with partners in the group to insure immediate action on the program.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s office said he would arrive in Copenhagen on Tuesday — two days earlier than previously planned — in an attempt to inject momentum into the climate talks.

“His view is that these negotiations can’t wait until the last-minute. He believes that we have learnt the lessons from the G-20, that it takes leadership to get involved and try to pull together what is required as soon as possible,” Brown’s spokesman Simon Lewis told reporters in London.

Lewis denied that Brown — facing a national election by June — was seeking to personal credit if a deal is struck. “He is not seeking to push himself forward, but he has taken a personal view that it is important that, if world leaders can, they should get there early,” the spokesman said.

Earlier Monday, British Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband said it’s up to him and his counterparts in Copenhagen to help bridge that gap between rich and poor countries and “not to leave everything” to the world leaders.

“There are still difficult issues of process and substance that we have to overcome in the coming days,” Miliband said. “Can we get the emission cuts we need? We need higher ambition from others and we will be pushing for that.”

Wake up America! This is all bullshit, designed to steal your wealth and your freedom. This will occur through forfeiture of our national sovereignty by way of UN treaties, like Agenda 21 and Copenhagen. Just say no! Tell your Congressional representatives we are not interested in being part of a global government. We are Americans and we demand our sovereignty!

Obama’s approval sinks to record low

Obama’s approval sinks to record low

According to today’s the Rasmussen Report daily Presidential Tracking Poll indicates 42% Strongly Disapprove of the way Barack Obama is performing as President. Only 23% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of his performance resulting in a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19, the lowest of his presidency. This is the second straight day that his approval rating has fallen to a new low.

The report also says, “The 23% who Strongly Approve matches the lowest level of enthusiasm yet recorded. Just 41% of Democrats Strongly Approve while 69% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 21% Strongly Approve and 49% Strongly Disapprove. ….Among those who consider the economy to be the most important issue, just 26% Strongly Approve of the President’s performance while 39% Strongly Disapprove. Among those who consider fiscal policy issues the most important, just 1% Strongly Approve and 81% Strongly Disapprove”.

Part of the problem clearly stems from what appears to be a total lack of concern for what voters want, in other words an unwillingness listen to the people. Here are some examples:

Healthcare Reform: A recent Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey indicates that 51% of those surveyed oppose the plan. 40% Strongly Oppose the plan, while just 23% Strongly favor it, a negative index of -17. This has resulted in the lowest level of support for the President’s plan to date at just 41%.

“This suggests that public opinion about the health care plan is hardening,” says Scott Rasmussen, president of Rasmussen Reports. “Despite the fact that most American believe our health care system needs major changes, most are opposed to what Congress is currently doing about it.”

Yet, Congress and the President continue to attempt to ram health care legislation through despite clear and consistent public opposition. While 72% of Democrats favor the plan, while 83% of Republicans and 62% of independents oppose it.

Also 66% of Americans believe that an increase free market in competition for healthcare will provide a better outcome than government regulation. Additionally, 57% believe the cost of healthcare will increase under a government plan and 54% believe the quality will go down.

Other Issues: Americans are split 43% to 43% on the issue of global warming. However, only 22% of Americans consider the UN/IPCC to be a reliable source of information on global warming. 49% disagree, saying the UN is unreliable on the topic and even question their motivations. A large number 29%, remain unsure.

In the meantime, at the UN summit in Copenhagen, Denmark next week the administration plans to advance a proposed international treaty on global warming. Obama has publicly committed the United States to a 17 % decrease in emissions by 2020. If Congress approves of this, critics say such a cut would seriously damage the U.S. economy.

While 47% of those surveyed believe that global warming is mostly the result of cyclical weather cycles, not human activity. Meanwhile the administration, Vice President Al Gore and other climate change activists believe humans are responsible.

U.S. voters (44%) see a conflict between fixing the economy and environmental protection initiatives, 31% disagree. Americans strongly believe congress and the administration must focus on the economy and job creation. 71% say the majority of Congress’ time should be spent on stimulating the economy to create jobs. This is being driven by 29% of companies reporting that their employers are continuing to lay people off.

All of this has led to recent surveys indicating that 71% of Americans are angry at the way the federal government is performing as a whole.

Americans are clearly starting to wake up, now the question is what are they going to do about it.

Copenhagen Update: Redistribution of Wealth and the Human Enterprise

Today’s blog is by guest blogger, Q.W. Johannes; a wise American who has witnessed 80 years of American growth, change and evolution from the Great Depression to the election of Obama.

The  AP reports “in just 15 years , the annual conferences reviewing the 1992 U.N. climate treaty have grown into  assemblies that, perhaps more than any other, encompass the human enterprise.”  That  is  probably true but in  a  different context than what the writer intended.

Unfortunately, the “human enterprise” at work in the U.N. has nothing to do with climate change and everything to do with redistribution of wealth  and global governance!  The “human enterprise” is  being directed by  various corrupt government officials in league with unscrupulous global business  leaders , central bankers  and  billionaire manipulators like George Soros.

The Copenhagen conference regales attendees with fear mongering videos showing  child’s nightmare  of climate change disasters or one with  polar bears falling from the sky and smashing to the pavement below.  Is this a serious presentation of scientific fact or just another pack of lies to strike fear in the hearts of the uninformed masses?  Does anyone still believe the factually flawed Al Gore ? As the  AP  and the rest  of the mainstream media studiously ignore the recent revelations concerning falsified data from the  U.N.’s  scientific advisory panel, the charlatans  press on  with their  fraudulent scam.

Meanwhile, here at home,  the EPA conveniently announces that  CO 2 is harmful to the health of human beings, you know, the same CO 2 which is a natural by-product of breathing. The EPA announcement is made coincidently as the Copenhagen conference is about to begin.

The EPA is making these costly regulations without the support of factual scientific data or regard for the economic consequences to America. Instead they are trying to “nudge” as Cass Sunstein likes to say, the legislative process along to force their real agenda.  We need congress to do their job and write appropriate legislation rather than allow the EPA to regulate without oversight. This administration is hijacking the legislative process so they can manipulate the law to drive their agenda.

So, if the public doesn’t want a treaty that will end our sovereignty, and doesn’t want Cap & Trade, it’s time for action. You must start tracking the votes of your elected officials and holding them accountable for their decisions. If we can make it to November 2010 without the current congress and administration destroying the country or the economy we can vote to throw the irresponsible ones (bums) out. Of course, that would leave us with an almost empty House and Senate. However the good news is it will also provide us an opportunity to start over with legislators who want to do the job they were elected to do starting with defending the country and the constitution. It almost sounds revolutionary!

Obama offers a federal bribe to states that support his policies

So now the President is offering federal money as a way to get support for his policies. How can this be legal much less Constitutional? See the article below from the AP:

MADISON, Wis. (AP) – President Barack Obama challenged states Wednesday to get their education policies in line with his administration’s priorities if they want a chance at $5 billion in grants.

“If you’re willing to hold yourselves more accountable, if you develop a strong plan to improve the quality of education in your state, we’ll offer you a grant to help make that plan a reality,” Obama said while speaking at a Wisconsin middle school.

Marking one year since his victory in the presidential election, Obama said his administration’s first obligation was bringing the U.S. economy back from the brink of collapse. But long-term economic success, he said, can only be achieved by making investments in education.

“There is nothing that will determine the quality of our future as a nation or the lives our children more than the kind of education we provide them,” he said.

Obama came to Wisconsin a day before state lawmakers planned to vote to lift a ban on using student test scores to judge teacher performance. The Obama administration has said that such restrictions would hurt a state’s chances of getting part of the $5 billion competitive grant fund, dubbed “Race to the Top.”

Obama called on all states to follow the example set by Wisconsin and nine other states that have taken steps to rewrite education laws and cut deals with unions that oppose some of those changes.

The $5 billion grants are the most money a president has ever had for overhauling schools. Only Education Secretary Arne Duncan – not Congress – has control over how its doled out. And only some states, perhaps 10 to 20, will actually get the money.

The administration can’t really tell states and schools what to do, since education has been largely a state and local responsibility throughout the history of the U.S. But the $5 billion grant fund, which was set aside in the economic stimulus law, gives Obama considerable leverage.

Obama sees the test score data and charter schools, which are publicly funded but independent of local school boards, as solutions to the problems that plague public education.

The national teachers unions disagree. They say student achievement is much more than a score on a standardized test and that it’s a mistake to rely so heavily on charter schools.

Now in a continuation of the nationwide government takeover the administration wants  bigger piece of the action on education. Knowing that states across the country are struggling to balance budgets a well timed bribe might just be the ticket for the federal government to get a foothold in some states.

Healthcare Reform, government bailouts, free speech, the takeover the banks, the auto companies and Cap & Trade, where does it end! How will we pay for it all? Are we headed for financial collapse? The “fundamental transformation of America” is underway.  Our freedom is under attack. Are you going to fight back?

We must fight back and stand up for our rights. Liberty and freedom are ours to lose if we don’t get involved; in the end we will only have ourselves to blame if we do nothing. It is time to contact your elected representatives and tell them: No more spending and No more meddling!

The time is now – Restore the Republic, Reject the Agenda of the Progressive Left!

“Good Conservatives always pay their bills. And on time. Not like the Socialists who run up other people’s bills.” – Margaret Thatcher

“Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word, equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.” ~Alexis de Tocqueville

Barney Frank – “…we are trying at every front to increase the role of government in the regulatory area”

In a recent debate with Ralph Nader, Barney Frank said the following:

“…We’re in there fighting these things. The right wing took control of government and ruined it. They gave it a bad reputation. Now that we are trying at every front to increase the role of government in the regulatory area, we run into this public opinion that says, hey, those are the guys who screwed up Katrina. So the frustration is they’re benefiting from their own incompetence”.

Then he went on to say….

“There’s going to be a systematic risk council. The systematic risk council will have the duty of monitoring to see in any institution or any pattern is causing a risk. If it is they will step in well before we’re faced with this kind of collapse. They would have said to AIG, you may not sell any more credit to false swaps, we are going to use the bankruptcy authority of the Constitution to put these — this regulatory body in charge of putting these people out of their misery. When the right wing started talking about death panels, they were right for the wrong reason. We are going to have death panels, but they’re going to be death panels that are going to put to death these institutions before they can cause us problems, not old people”.

The arrogance of this Congressman and his cohorts is unbelievable! Watch the video below:

Where are we headed as a country when the government thinks that they need to create a systemic risk council so they can run rough shod over businesses that step out of line in their eyes?  What happened to businesses being able to succeed or fail on their own? What happened to good old fashioned bankruptcy? What happened to the free market  capitalism on which our economy  and our country were built?

To quote Rush Limbaugh, “I wonder how many regulators Barney whacked trying to stop what was going on in the subprime mortgage stuff. By the way, these guys want to try to take risk out of everything. I made the point last week, this is a nation built on risk-taking. That’s what entrepreneurism is. … You know, I was thinking, Barney Frank is worse, ladies and gentlemen, than any executive who has ever been a crook in the private sector. Barney Frank uses his position and the law to promote the destruction of the housing market and all that goes with it. Then he blocked efforts to correct what he and others of his ilk had unleashed”.

If we are going to save our country and our national sovereignty, we must save our economy first! We can not save the economy if the government is going to continue to meddle in the free market. Nationalization of the banks and the auto companies coupled a manufacturing czar, a pay czar, cap and tax legislation, a meddling EPA  and a pro union administration spells doom for a meaningful recovery.

As Americans we need to face the facts. The administration’s economic policy which punishes success and capitalism is killing the economy. Unemployment continues to rise and new jobs are not being created. The credit market for business capitalization remains mostly frozen. Regional banks failures have already  reached 100 this year. Home foreclosures continue to rise and our country’s credit rating is in decline. The handwriting is on the wall, if we don’t do something soon we will be facing an economic crash of epic proportions, followed by hyper-inflation.

The G20, the IMF and the UN are waiting, watching and licking their chops. If our economy fails we lose our position as leaders of the free world. The dollar will no longer be the premier currency and ultimately it will compromise our national sovereignty.

It is time to take action. It is time to tell the government to stop meddling in business and end their excessive spending. Government does not create wealth it, consumes it. We do not need contrived shovel ready projects or non value added government jobs. It is time to return to our roots, to what made us great; small government, free market capitalism and American ingenuity. We need to rebuild our manufacturing base and manufacture durable goods which will create jobs. We need to lower taxes to stimulate investment to get the economy moving.

It is time to contact your elected representatives and tell them: No more spending and No more meddling! The time is now – Restore the Republic, Restore the American Dream and Reject the Economic Policies of the Socialist Left!

“…and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people’s money. It’s quite a characteristic of them.” – Prime Minister Thatcher

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government — lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.” — Patrick Henry

Kill the Cows!

According to Lord Stern of Brentford, a leading authority (?) on global warming, we all need to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle, if the ware going to conquer climate change.

In a recent interview, Lord Stern said: “Meat is a wasteful use of water and creates a lot of greenhouse gases. It puts enormous pressure on the world’s resources. A vegetarian diet is better.”

Farting cows and other livestock are a major source of methane emissions into the atmosphere. Methane is 23 times more powerful than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas according to some scientists.

Lord Stern, went on to speculate that a successful agreement in Copenhagen at the Climate Change Conference could lead to a sharp spike in prices for meat and other foods that produce large quantities of greenhouse gas.

He predicted that as people become more responsible, they will become more concerned about the carbon content of their food. He probably would like to see it added to the nutritional information panel of all foods. According to the UN, meat production is responsible for about 18 per cent of global carbon emissions.

Meanwhile back at home, Democrats have attached themselves to their usual solution – if want to get rid of something tax it out of existence.  Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-WI., the ranking member of the House Select Committee for Energy Independence and Global Warming, if the current climate change bill becomes law it could have a devastating impact on agribusiness. In the absence of a technology based solution for livestock methane emissions the congressman said, “I don’t know if we’re supposed to develop the technology to strap a catalytic converter on the back of a cow”, since a capture and convert strategy would be a more earth friendly solution than a tax.

At this rate, hamburger will replace steak as a luxury item and the price of food will keep going up. Amazing how every “green” initiative has a negative effect on the price of something.

Let’s for a minute pretend that this madness makes some sort of sense. Is the Lord of Brentford suggesting a mass murder of livestock? What about horses and camels, don’t they fart too? Maybe we should by him a copy of “The Gas We Pass: The Story of Farts” by Shinta Cho, as he seems to be in denial about how things really work.

Do you ask yourself with increasing frequency… Who are these idiots and who put them in charge?

It is time to stop the madness! Reject Climate Change Legislation and the Copenhagen Treaty proposals! Restore the Republic – Enough is Enough!

By the way vegans beware – don’t sit there with that smug look on your face – beans are next!

UN Agenda 21 & the New World Order Pt 2

Here is a continuation of the trail from across the internet on UN Agenda 21 and the forces that seem to be driving this initiative. The UN Agenda appears to be the evolution of the principles and ideas of the Progressive and eugenics movements of the early 1900’s. The plan or plans which look remarkably similar to Agenda 21 are at the core of the agendas of several secretive elitist groups such as the Bilderbergs, the Council for Foreign Relations, The Council of Rome and The Trilateral Commission. The goal of one world government which offers the elites an unchallenged position of power through control of all resources and services on which everyone else must rely. Yes – this sounds far fetched and crazy but watch the videos, follow the threads. This thread runs through government websites across the planet.  The central themes are around; Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Global Governance, Population Control and Social Justice.  There is something going on and it starts with the weakening of the US economy, the dollar and a crisis, real or contrived that breaks the spirit of our country.

Look at these groups and pay attention to who is pulling the strings, watch the pattern develop before your eyes. Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller, the rest of the Rockefeller family, the Bush family, the Clintons, Mikhail Gorbachev, John Kerry, Al Gore, the Heinz family, Madeline Albright, Robert Zoellick, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter, Donald Rumsfeld, Cyrus Vance, Vernon Jordan and other famous US/International leaders from a variety of political backgrounds. The cast is a virtual who’s who across several generations of politicians and business leaders.

If you watch these videos and follow the trail it will not be lost on you that the Rockefellers, particularily David have been the driving force behind three of the most powerful elitist groups (Bilderbergs, CFR and The Club of Rome) and a major benefactor of the UN.

From the 1950’s until 2001 there was an obscure newspaper that reported on the activities of several of these NWO groups called The Spotlight which was later driven out of business in 2001. Here is a link to many of their old articles which help bring some world events into focus even today. http://libertylobby.org/about_us.html

“A New Path for World Development”  http://www.clubofrome.org/eng/new_path/

It is clear that the present path of world development is not sustainable in the longer term, even if we recognize the enormous potentials of the market and of technological innovation. New ideas and strategies will be needed to ensure that improved living conditions and opportunities for a growing population across the world can be reconciled with the conservation of a viable climate and of the fragile ecosystems on which all life depends. A new vision and path for world development must be conceived and adopted if humanity is to surmount the challenges ahead.

In response to this intellectual and practical challenge, the Club of Rome will undertake a three year programme on “A New Path for World Development” so as to achieve a better understanding of the complex challenges which confront the modern world and to lay solid foundations for the action which must be taken to improve the prospects for peace and progress.

The Programme will not only engage decision makers and experts and provide them with feasible proposals for action but will also engage with the public through a variety of channels. It will be in part, an “open source” programme. It will undertake only a limited amount of original research, drawing on the wide array of available information and research in progress. It will be implemented in close collaboration with partner organizations, providing a framework through which their ideas and contributions can be integrated. This will increase the credibility and impact of the efforts of the Club itself.

The Programme will focus on five “clusters” of related issues within the overall conceptual framework of A New Path for World Development:

1.Environment and Resources: This cluster relates climate change, peak oil, ecosystems and water. Radical and rapid social and economic transformations will be needed to avert runaway climate change and ecological breakdown;

2. Globalisation: This cluster relates interdependence, distribution of wealth and income, demographic change, employment, trade and finance. Rising inequalities and imbalances associated with the present path of globalisation risk the breakdown of the world economic and financial systems;

3. World Development: This cluster relates sustainable development, demographic growth, poverty, environmental stress, food production, health and employment. The scandal of abiding poverty, deprivation, inequity and exclusion in a wealthy world must be corrected;

4. Social Transformation: This cluster relates social change, gender equity, values and ethics, religion and spirituality, culture, identity and behaviour. The values and behaviour on which the present path of world development is based must change if peace and progress are to be preserved within the tightening human and environmental limits;

5. Peace and Security: This cluster relates justice, democracy, governance, solidarity, security and peace. The present path of world development risks alienation, polarization, violence and conflict; the preservation of peace is vital in itself but is also a precondition for progress and for the resolution of the issues which threaten the future.

Within each of these clusters, the issues are strongly linked: thus each group constitutes a coherent and manageable field for analysis. The links between the clusters will be accounted for as the programme proceeds, within the overall integrating framework of A New Path for World Development.

The Club will convene five small high-level expert meetings successively over the three year period, 2008 – 2010, one on each of the clusters of issues identified above. Each meeting should produce a clear statement on the issues, risks and opportunities ahead with an outline of the principal strategies and measures required in response. As the Programme proceeds, the insights and knowledge gained from each meeting will provide clear perspectives of constraints and opportunities as the context for the next meeting. By recognizing such linkages, the knowledge acquired will be cumulative and will produce innovative insights as the Programme proceeds.

In relation to each cluster of issues, a private, web-based research network will be established through which the participants in the expert meetings, together with additional experts, can carry on a process of dialogue and research to develop a deeper understanding of the issues and to elaborate specific recommendations and proposals.

Each of these five clusters of issues will be the focus of a specific area of information and analysis on the Club of Rome website. As the analysis proceeds and knowledge increases, each area will accumulate research results, a strengthening data base, a deepening understanding of the issues and their complex interconnectedness and a growing number of proposals for integrated strategy and action.

Systems Integration

As work proceeds on the five clusters, a parallel effort will focus on developing a better conceptual and practical understanding of the world systems within which they are linked and embedded. This will help to understand the linkages between trends, issues and actions and to identify the drivers of global change. The Programme will in this way recognize the immense complexity of world affairs.

A dedicated research network will focus on the issue of systems integration, including systems thinking and systems linkages and systems dynamics modelling. These networks will be supported by the Secretariat and accessed through the Club’s website.

In late 2010 it is planned that the concluding “International Forum of the Club of Rome” will be held to integrate the final outputs of the expert meetings, of the research networks and of the related activities by all the elements of the Club and its partner organizations, leading to coherent conclusions and recommendations and to a major Final Report. – Source The Club of Rome website

One last challenge put the name of your state and the words “Sustainable Development” in to your web browser and see what comes up.

We need to find out how deep we are in this process and put the brakes on. We must regain control of our government and our national destiny. UN Agenda 21 is real.
